Why DC is different? Bellevue and Kirkland in Seattle expected visitors with AR-15s.

This article focuses on specific people in DC who let random protestors into their houses to escape police enforcing the curfew.

AFAIK, I didn't hear of anything similar happening in Seattle or Bellevue. Personally, I'm in Seattle (Belltown), and other than Saturday the curfew has been pretty lax.

Are you saying the police in Bellevue and Kirkland showed up with AR-15s and knocked on private residences? I haven't seen any claims to that.

Are you saying residents there own AR-15s? I'm aware DC has very strict gun laws while Washington (state) is more pro-gun. But on the flip side, I'm not aware of protesters holing up in private residences.

So I don't see where your comment has merit. Can you clarify?

It's a good question. I'm not saying it accounts for all of it, but to my understanding, DC is both heavily segregated an has a gigantic, poor black population. Not to mention presence of the federal government there and the uhh...arguably symbolic incensing that may have occurred there. But I'm sure I'm missing key factors even with this analysis.
