I watched the video and sadly I still don't understand what I'm looking at. Right now it feels like more effort was put into making the video fun than into actually conveying information. Okay, so this is about release notes — what does this give me over say making a blog post on the product's webpage?

The videos make me irrationally annoyed. When you're showing me something in a faux-browser frame, why does it have to slowly move and twist? It's so distracting that I have no idea what features were actually shown.

Like a sibling comment, I'm also wondering what benefit this has over a blog. I've never met anyone with the specific pain point of 1) having releases, 2) writing release notes, and 3) not knowing how to publish them quickly.

The pain point of release notes is usually upstream, at the point where the git commit log (or bug tracker) needs to be typed up into a nice report.

My favorite release notes come from Blender 3D.

    https://www.blender.org/download/releases/2-92/

They include great explanations and a video of new features.

But of course I'm only excited about the release notes because I get excited about bew Blender versions.

No amount of release note polish can do that.

Some sort of animations in the page are causing a lag after the first render. I have the impression that the page is using too many words and images to convey the same thing, but is not precise in nailing what the thing is early enough

Interesting! What software did you use to create the landing video?
