Hey! I would use this for the remarkable tablet which I believe has an API. It also has a larger screen.

Some feedback, rather than every article as a doc, I’d love it if were a PDF by day, and the table of contents is News list, and linked to the article.

If you have the HN article scraper, I can take a crack at the pdf builder

Oh wait, it seems this only gives comments?

        Thank you for commenting.

        1. Does the reMarkable tablet support email document delivery? If so then hntokindle should work as it is now.

        2. It supports hyperlink, So you can read the story as well depending upon how the your e-book reader renders it. ( I can see why you had the doubt, Since the demo shows only comments; But the mileage of story rendering depends upon the webpage. When the webpage sticks to proper web standards, then it's great).

        Reg the PDF vs DOC

Fixed document format like PDF does help in better styling but doesn't support hyperlinks on Kindle. DOC supports hyperlink, But styling is limited.

That's a good suggestion, But the aforementioned PDF-hyperlink issue and huge difference with rendering quality of web pages prevent combining the story and HN comments in a single document. But I will look at ways for addressing it for tablets which don't have these issues if there are others like you.

Also please note that the story content itself cannot be sent with the document due to copyright issues and so I send only the hyperlink.

Seasoned HN users know that the real gold is in the comments. I wanted a better way to take notes and assimilate knowledge from the HN comments.

So I decided to leverage note taking and library facilities offered by Kindle by sending Hacker News stories to it. Besides, the e-paper goodness is a cherry on the top.

As of now I send topmost HN stories and plan to develop further if others want it like I do.

    Your feedback is much appreciated!
