At what point in your life are these "countdown until you're dead" clocks useful motivators?
When you're young, the days ahead seem limitless, the prospects are wondrous. I imagine you'd shrug off any notion of urgency to "make this week count"
When you're old, every passing day feels like the walls are closing in, world is getting smaller, friends disappearing, doors closing. At this point, the time to make your weeks count has long passed, the clock only serving as a cruel reminder of your failure to achieve.
